The solar panel on the Solar Powered Venting Skylight soaks up any available sunlight and stores the energy to power the skylight’s advanced, discrete battery-operated control and operation system. The battery-operated operator is the driving force behind the skylight’s opening and closing functions. In the event of rain while you’re away, a built-in rain sensor will automatically shut the machine down.
The VELUX Electric Venting skylight is the perfect daylighting solution for overhead applications for new buildings and extensive renovation projects. It is designed for deck and curb mounted installations. It allows an abundance of natural light to into the room and can be opened at the touch of a button to let in some fresh air.A rain sensor will also automatically close the skylight for you if bad weather is predicted and you are not at home.
The VELUX Manual Venting skylight brings the beauty of the outdoors into any home, and it can be installed on a deck or a curb. By enabling stale, humid air to be discharged, the venting skylight helps maintain the ideal moisture balance and comfort level in a home. It is suggested for in-house setups.
VELUX accessories make it easy to open and close the manual skylights we sell. When skylights are put in within reach, there is a smooth-turning handle in the box. For installations that are hard to reach, control rods can be bought separately. You could also choose a Solar-Powered or Electric Venting model that comes with an easy-to-use touchscreen remote and built-in rain sensors that close the unit when it starts to rain.
